Me and My Hyosung Aquila GV 125C
I am a proud owner of a Hyosung Aquila GV 125C. If the budget is your thing then the Hyosung Aquila GV 125 is worth considering, but as it costs about Rs 405,000 it’s not as cheap as you might expect of a 125. For a low cost cruising bike, the Aquila GV 125 is a decent buy. The Aquila 125 looks like a machine that’s well designed to do the job of cruising, with some occasional fun riding over the weekends and in the evenings, but you have to wonder if it will prove to be reliable in the long term. Best thing is you get the parts and service within Pakistan from Overdrive and their agents in different cities. I bought mine from Rapid Rides in Gulberg Lahore and was the first one to buy this in Lahore.
Its a brand new machine you can buy instead of spending a huge amount on a used European or American one. It just looks more motorcycle for the money spent. But either model is likely to suffer more rapid depreciation than the mainstream Japanese or European brand entry level bikes and American bikes.
Basic clock, mirrors, grab handles at the back of the motorcycle and an average set of brakes are about what most people expect on entry level bikes. It has all the style you need and the chrome on the bike is amazing quality.
When people ask me how much it is and what is the power they don’t believe by the looks that it is 125. Its ride is very smooth and you do not get tired even after a consecutive long ride. Its a low height bike and fits all tall and small guys. When you cruise around no eye misses your presence. In other words its an eye catcher. Its a gift to myself and I love it.
Lastly the Aquila does make a good fist of justifying its high price. It feels like a quality machine and being a V-Twin it gives a little extra cruise kudos, especially when no other 125 offers one. Dynamically, the offering is a little different to the cheaper rivals, but the styling is spot on, which might be enough to sway it for you.
I would also like to Thank Overdrive and Rapid Rides to bring this bike to Pakistan and give people opportunities to buy within their budgets.
